We are happy to help with setup, playbooks and reading the incrementality report.

Getting started

  1. Install Recovery Lens and open it from your Shopify admin. The checkout pixel connects by itself.
  2. Click Sync abandoned checkouts to classify the last 30 days.
  3. On Destinations, connect Klaviyo, Omnisend, Shopify Flow or a webhook, and send a test event.
  4. In your messaging tool, trigger your abandoned-checkout flow from the event Recovery Lens Step and use its subject and body (or your own design). Turn off other abandoned-checkout flows so the holdout stays clean.
  5. On Playbooks and rules, set your high-value threshold, holdout share and reassurance content (financing, warranty, shipping, specialist).
  6. Optional: in the theme editor, turn on the Recovery Lens app embed for "Save your cart" email capture and the reason prompt.

Frequently asked questions

Does Recovery Lens send emails? No. It decides who gets which message and when, and your messaging tool sends it. This keeps your deliverability, templates and consent handling in one place.

Why are some checkouts suppressed? Each checkout shows the rule that suppressed it: bot-like activity, no contact details, no marketing consent, a recent purchase, the frequency cap or the plan limit.

How is incremental revenue calculated? A random share of eligible shoppers (10% by default) gets no messages. Revenue per checkout of messaged shoppers minus that of held-out shoppers, times the messaged checkouts, is the incremental revenue.

Do I need Shopify Plus? No. The app uses the abandoned checkout API, checkout webhooks, a web pixel and a theme app embed, which work on all plans that have abandoned checkouts.
